Privacy policy

This policy explains how Becky Raye Designs LLC (“Becky Raye,” “we,” “us”), which operates as Becky Raye Staging & Design, handles information collected through this website (beckyraye.com). By using the site or contacting us through it, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the contact form, we collect what you enter: your name and email address, and optionally your phone number, the property address, your timeline, details about your project, and whether you are a real estate agent. If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address and, if you gave it, your name. If you email or call us directly, we receive whatever you choose to share.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we receive limited technical information when you visit — pages viewed, the page that referred you, general device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address — through analytics and ordinary server logs. We also use your IP address briefly to limit how often the contact form can be submitted, which is how we keep it from being used to send bulk mail.

Cookies and similar technologies. Our analytics providers set cookies to understand how the site is used, and our spam protection sets one to tell people from bots. We do not use cookies for advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

How we use information

• To answer your inquiry and to provide staging and design services.
• To send you the newsletter, if you asked for it.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the website.
• To protect the site and prevent spam and abuse.
• To keep ordinary business records and meet legal obligations.

We do not use what you tell us through this site to build advertising profiles, and we do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

Email we send you

When you submit the contact form, we send you one confirmation email so you know it arrived. That is part of answering you, not marketing, and it is sent whether or not you join the newsletter.

The newsletter is separate and always optional. We only add you if you ask — by using the signup form, or by ticking the newsletter box on the contact form, which is never ticked for you. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to be removed. When you unsubscribe we keep a record of that choice so we do not email you again by mistake.

How information is shared

We share your information only with the service providers that help us run the site and reply to you, and only as much as they need:

• Resend — delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox, sends your confirmation email, and stores the newsletter list.
• Cloudflare — Turnstile, which protects the contact form against spam and abuse.
• Vercel — website hosting, plus performance and traffic analytics.
• Google Analytics — website usage analytics.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or where we reasonably need to in order to protect our rights, safety, or property. If the business is ever sold or reorganized, information may transfer as part of that; this policy would continue to apply to it.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the past twelve months. Because we do not sell or share in that sense, there is nothing for an opt-out preference signal to switch off.

How long we keep information

• Inquiries. Contact-form submissions and related correspondence are kept for 24 months after we last hear from you, then deleted.
• Client records. If your inquiry becomes an engagement, we keep the records associated with it for 7 years, which is what ordinary business and tax record-keeping calls for.
• Newsletter. We keep your subscription until you unsubscribe. The record that you unsubscribed is kept indefinitely, so that the choice sticks.
• Analytics. Analytics data is retained on our providers' schedules, currently 14 months in Google Analytics.

Your choices and your rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email contact@beckyraye.com and we will respond within 45 days. We honor these requests from anyone who makes one, wherever you live, rather than asking you to prove where you are — and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Depending on where you live you may have further rights, for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the UK and EU GDPR, including the right to object to certain processing or to complain to your local data protection authority. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on, and manage cookies in your browser.

Where information is handled

We are based in Washington State and our service providers process information in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be handled here, where privacy laws may differ from those in your own country.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, and we keep it with established providers rather than on our own servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, though, so we cannot promise absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information — financial account details, government identifiers, or health information — through the contact form.

Children's privacy

The site is meant for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Third-party links

The site links to other websites, including our Instagram. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Changes take effect when posted here, and we will update the “last updated” date above. If a change materially affects how we handle information you have already given us, we will make a reasonable effort to tell you.
